ALLAN, Lindsay James.  Suddenly, on October 8th, 2018 at his home in Balclutha; aged 61 years. Dearly loved partner of the late Aurelle Russell, cherished dad of Bronwyn, and Megan, a loved father-in-law, grandad, brother, uncle and a friend to many.    At Lindsay’s request, a private cremation has been held.

ANDERTON, Iris Dawn (nee Moore).   Born August 10th, 1939, passed suddenly at her home on the Sunday October 14th, 2018. Loved wife of the late William (Bill), much loved mother and mother in-law of Ngaire and John Matthews, John and Raewyn Anderton, Martin*, and Lorna* Anderton, a devoted grandmother of Daniel*, Jared, Brianah, Emma, Kristal and Curtis, loved daughter of Nell* and Arthur* Moore, loved sister of Mary and Ian* Crossan, Lorna and Tommy Waide, John and Alice Moore, Arthur and Jenny* Moore, Brian* Moore and Carol, Ross and Trish Moore, Betty Maxwell and Murray Ward, Bobby and Kay Moore, Raelene and John Altenburg, Eleanor* Yeoman, Gary and Picky Moore and Ronny Moore,a treasured sister-in-law and loved Aunty of her many nieces and nephews. (*denotes deceased).    At Iris’ request a private cremation has been held.   In memory of Iris, a gathering to share stories over a cuppa will be held on Thursday, October 18th in the Milton Elder Care Rooms, 185 Union Street, Milton between 1pm and 3pm. RUFFELL, Edward Charles (Ted).   Peacefully, at his home in Kaka Point, on October 23rd, 2018, surrounded by his loving family; aged 85 years.   Loved husband of the late Tui, dearly loved father and father-in-law of John and Pauline (Balclutha), Carolyn and Wayne (Balclutha), Rhonda and Jan (Makikihi), Brian and Debra (Timaru), the late Nicholine, and a very proud Grandad of his 36 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Ted on Friday, October 26th at 1 p.m. in St Mary MacKillop Catholic Church, Gordon Street, Balclutha, then leaving for the Balclutha Lawn Cemetery.   Rosary will be held on Thursday, October 25th at 6 p.m.    In lieu of flowers, donations to the Balclutha St John Ambulance would be appreciated and may be left at Ted’s service. COOTE, Brian John (Sam).  Suddenly, on October 25th, 2018.   Dearly loved husband of Joyce, much loved father and father-in-law of Michael and Ngaire (Ashburton), Stephen and Rebecca (Balclutha), and a cherished Grandad of Matthew, Logan, and Abby; Penny, and Harry.     A service of farewell for Sam will be held on Tuesday, October 30th at 1.30pm in the South Otago Town and Country Club, Yarmouth Street, Balclutha, followed by a private cremation. CLUCAS, Eleanor June (Elly) (nee O’Hara).  Peacefully, on October 27th, 2018 at the Lawrence Medical Centre, surrounded by her loving family.   Dearly loved wife of Jock, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Lynore and Greg, Danny and Eileen, cherished Nana of Michael and Kylie, Terry; Nikita and Gary; and great-Nana to Paige, and Rielyn.    A service of farewell for Elly will be held on Friday, November 2nd at 1.30 pm in Simpson Park, Harrington Street, Lawrence followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to Otago Cancer Society

WARD, Malcolm Russell.  Tragically, on 27 October 2018, dearly loved and soul mate of Deana, devoted dad of James, Nathan, and Emma.  Loved son of Pam and Russell Ward, loved brother of Karen, Di and the late Neville, Jan and Carl and a loved and fun uncle of all his nieces and nephews.  A service for Malcolm will be held on Saturday 3 November at 2pm in our Chapel, 12 James Street, Balclutha, followed by a private cremation.  In lieu of flowers donations to the Catlins Search and Rescue would be appreciated and may be left at his service.   
McPHEE, Mitchell Kyle (Gundi).  Tragically taken on 27 October 2018;   23 years young.  Treasured son of Owen and Sue, adored brother and brother-in-law of Lauren and Brendon, forever loved partner of Nicole, friend and buddy of Ollie, a loved nephew, cousin, friend to many and best mate of Irie.  A service to farewell Mitchell will be held on Monday, November 5 at 2pm in the South Otago Town and Country Club, Yarmouth Street, Balclutha then leaving for the Balclutha Lawn Cemetery.    In lieu of flowers donations to the Catlins Search and Rescue would be appreciated and may be left at Mitchell’s service.  Messages to10 A Ross Street, Balclutha 9230     
FRASER, Horace Leslie (Les). Peacefully on November 4th 2018, at Ashlea Grove Rest Home, Milton; surrounded by his family. Dearly loved husband of Linda, much loved Les and father-in-law of James and Gaylene, Kevin and Liz, Vivien and Colin Adam, treasured Grandad and Great grandad of all his grandchildren.
A service of farewell for Les will be held Wednesday November 7th 2018, in Milton Town and Country Club, Union Street, Milton, at 1.30pm, followed by a private cremation. BEGG, Harold William. On November 10th 2018, at Dunedin Hospital; in his 92nd year.  Dearly loved husband of *Myra, much loved father and father-in-law of *Bryan, Trevor and Allison, Rosemary and Michael Maley, and Murray, cherished Grandad of Mark, and Lisa; Jeanine, and Donna-Maree; Carla, and Nicola, Tania, and Shaun; a proud Great Grandad of Aida, and Brydon; Cody, and Luke; Cole; Dylan; George; Maggie, and Walter; and Lainey, and a wonderful friend to many.  (* denotes deceased).  A service for Harold will be held on Friday, November 16th, at 2 p.m., in the South Otago Town and Country Club, Yarmouth Street, Balclutha, followed by a private interment.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Otago Rescue Helicopter Trust would be appreciated and may be left at Harold’s service.
